Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio is undoubtedly one of the biggest names that might go up for sale during the summer transfer window and Premier League clubs like Chelsea and Manchester City are eager to bring the 22-year-old on board.

Asensio has been struggling for game time under Zinedine Zidane this season and the Spaniard has made Florentino Perez aware of his tough times. And reports from Spain have claimed that the Real Madrid president has told Asensio he can leave at the end of the season.

Chelsea are one of the favourites to land Marco Asensio and it is being claimed that the London outfit are willing to pay £87million for the 22-year-old.

But according to the Don Balon, Marco Asensio is not too keen on joining the Blues during the summer given the fact that Antonio Conte’s side have struggled to find form during the current season.

There is a huge doubt about Chelsea’s top four hopes this season which in turn will affect their Champions League qualifications for the next campaign.

And it is being claimed that Marco Asensio does not want to join a club which is already struggling.

In turn, Marco Asensio would want to join Manchester City who are also interested in the attacking midfielder.

Man City have been crowned the Premier League champions this season and Asensio feels that the Cityzens will carry on this fine form into the next campaign.

If Marco Asensio does wish to join Manchester City then surely it will be a positive for Real Madrid given the fact that Pep Guardiola’s side is willing to pay in the vicinity of £114 million.
