Arsene Wenger might have been awarded a new contract amidst huge protests but his headaches do not stop there. With Arsenal failing to secure top flight European football next season, the Londoners are set to lose a host of first team players.

We take a look at such Top 5 players that Arsenal are set to lose this summer:

Alexis Sanchez:

Arsenal

Wenger’s biggest challenge this summer will undoubtedly be trying to keep the Chilean at the club. But we feel that it would be much easier said than done. Especially amongst interest from some top European teams. German champions Bayern Munich and English giants Manchester City are both said to be chasing the want-away midfielder. While Bayern were the frontrunners in the said race but now it looks as if Guardiola has jumped the queue. Bayern have seemingly lost interest in Sanchez after the huge wage demands of the Chilean.

But Arsenal, on the other hand, are trying desperately to keep the 28-year-old. But the player has already rejected a new contract at the club meaning he will sooner or later move out of Arsenal.

Hector Bellerin:

Arsenal

Bellerin joined Arsenal’s youth academy back in 2011 from Barcelona. And since then the right-back has gone on to become one of the best players in his positions. But now it looks as if Barcelona want him back. The Catalans are looking at Bellerin as their long-term replacement for Dani Alves.

It has also been reported that the player’s agent met with the Barcelona management to talk about the possible transfer. But Bellerin has officially said that as of now all he is thinking is to return back to pre-season duties for Arsenal.

But when a club like Barcelona come calling, there are not many players in the world who might have the courage to reject it.

Kieran Gibbs:

Arsenal

Arsene Wenger is desperately trying to offload Gibbs from his ranks. Arsenal have already signed Sead Kolasinac and now Wenger feels that Gibbs has no place in the squad.

The club has set an asking price of £15 million for the left-back. While a list of Premier League clubs are ready to sign up the player but they all feel that the asking price is way too much. Watford are said to be hugely interested in buying the Englishman. But they are not willing to shell out such a huge amount.

David Ospina:

Arsenal

David Ospina arrived at Arsenal in 2014 from Nice. But since then he has mostly played second fiddle to Petr Cech. And now it looks as if the Colombian has grown frustrated and wants to exit the club.

If reports are to be believed then new Nantes boss Claudio Ranieri wants Ospina to become his first choice keeper at the French club.

Olivier Giroud:

Arsenal

Giroud is another first team star that Wenger might lose before the transfer season ends. The Frenchman is probably eyeing a return to the Ligue 1 with both Lyon and Marseille seemingly interested in buying the 30-year-old striker.
