Arsenal are on the verge of losing two of their biggest stars next summer in the form of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil. Both the players’ contracts expire at the end of the current season and they are yet to sign a new deal with the club. And looking at the current scenario they are not very eager to continue at the Emirates.

This has prompted many people to believe that Wenger and Arsenal are preparing to sell off the players in January in order to make some money off them, rather than risk losing them for free next summer. Now Wenger has come out and spoken about the situation and the possibility of selling Sanchez and Ozil at the start of the new year.

While speaking to the press on Thursday, the Gunners boss said, “I always said that the fact we didn’t find an agreement last year doesn’t mean that the player will necessarily leave,

“Both players [Ozil and Alexis] look happy here and overall, I hope that the situation can be turned around.”

Wenger has clearly indicated that the club is still trying to pursue the two players in order to pen down a new deal. But the ever-growing interests from rivals clubs seems to be growing with each passing month and both Sanchez and Ozil will find it really hard to resist a move.
