Manchester United drew their third consecutive Premier League game against Southampton as the Old Trafford outfit failed to break down the Saints resulting the match to end in a 0-0 draw.

With the draw, Jose Mourinho’s men slip to the 3rd spot on the league table – one point behind defending champions, Chelsea. The loss of points will most definitely be a cause of concern for the Manchester United manager but a bigger headache might follow pretty soon.

Ashley Young was caught on camera shoving an elbow on Dusan Tadic’s stomach and according to former referee Chris Foy, the Englishman might very well face retrospective punishment.

Young was seen elbowing Tadic while defending a corner and Chris Foy – who is currently a BT Sport, feels that the right-back is in line to face a three-match suspension.

“Obviously Craig Pawson is paying attention on what’s going on in the penalty area and he can’t quite see what Ashley Young does,” Foy told BT Sport.

“But it looks as if he strikes Tadic in the stomach with his elbow.

“That’s obviously been missed and whether it will be looked at over the next few days we’ll wait and see.”

If Young is found guilty then he will miss Manchester United’s next three domestic matches which might be a big cause of concern for Jose Mourinho. The United boss is losing his defenders one by one – with the likes of Smalling and Valencia already out with injuries. Eric Baily too is sidelined for three months meaning that in the next match Mourinho will have to field either Darmian or Daley Blind in the right-back role.
