Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is out of contract at the end of the season and Premier League rivals Manchester United lead the race to sign him.

Jose Mourinho has been in the pursuit of the German International for quite some time now and multiple reports are claiming that United are preparing a bid to bring the attacking midfielder to Old Trafford in January itself.

Unlike Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil is not too keen to move out of the Emirates this month and it seems that he is more than happy to see out his contract at Arsenal. But the onus is now on Manchester United to sign up the player as soon as possible because if United fail to bag Mesut Ozil in January then another club might just rival them during the summer.

According to the Mirror, Juventus will try and persuade Mesut Ozil to move to Italy once the German becomes a free agent. Ozil has not shown any preference regarding where he wants to play after Arsenal and Juventus are hoping that the midfielder will want to give a shot at the Serie A title after having already played in the Bundesliga and La Liga.

Juventus will not sign the player by paying a transfer fee and will only make a move once Mesut Ozil is out of contract. According to the report, the German’s wage demands perfectly suit the club and the Bianconeri might just use Ozil’s close friend, Sami Khedira in order to convince him.

So, if Jose Mourinho is serious about signing Mesut Ozil then he will have to move this month itself and bring the player to Manchester United by paying a transfer fee.
