Tottenham Hotspur have made a shocking move for Aston Villa attacking midfielder Jack Grealish – according to reports.
If the latest news coming out of London is to be believed then Mauricio Pochettino’s side have made an initial bid of £30 million for the 22-year-old.
Jack Grealish had an impressive season which Aston Villa in the Championship last time around which saw him clock up 3 goals and 6 assists in 31 games.
A couple of days back The Mail had reported that Jack Grealish is valued at around £40 million while Sky Sports claimed that Villa have set an asking price of £30 million for the midfielder.
Now it is Sky Sports who are claiming that Spurs have made an opening bid of half the amount that he had claimed he is worth.
The report also suggests that Tottenham Hotspur are not the only team who are interested in signing the 22-year-old.
Clubs like Chelsea, Fulham and Leicester have all been keen a close eye on the player’s developments over the past couple of months and all three of them are expected to launch a bid for Grealish at some point during the summer transfer window.
If Jack Grealish ends up joining either of the Premier League sides then it is tough to see him break into the first team setup in his first season itself.
But if he opts to join Fulham then he more or less is a guaranteed starter in every game.
Whether Fulham are ready to spend £30 odd million for Jack Grealish remains to be seen though.
