Manchester City might be setting the Premier League on fire but somehow they will always be in the shadows of their neighbours.
Google have released their search data(as reported by the Mirror) for users on the United Kingdom version of their website and Manchester United are the most searched Premier League club during the calendar year 2017.

Current EPL table-toppers Manchester City are way below on the seventh spot as Tottenham Hotspur and even Everton are above the Citizens as per the search results.
The World Cup 2018 draw was the most commonly searched for football event, ahead of the Confederations Cup, FA Cup final and Champions League final while Wimbledon was the top searched sporting event in 2017.
