Juventus have long been tipped to sign Liverpool midfielder Emre Can at the end of the current season but now it seems the Serie A giants are looking at other alternatives.
According to a report in CalcioNews24, Juventus are looking at Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey as an alternative to Emre Can during the summer transfer window.
The Arsenal midfielder has a little over a year left on his current contract and the Italian giants are planning to use this situation to their advantage.
Ramsey joined the Gunners in 2008 and since then the Welsh International has played 322 games scoring 56 goals.
But now rumours across London are claiming that the midfielder’s future at Arsenal is under threat and he could very well be shown the exit door at the end of the season.
Juventus looked all set to sign Emre Can on a free transfer but now the deal looks to have hit a roadblock with Emre Can picking up a long-term injury.
The German International suffered a back injury during Liverpool’s 5-0 win over Watford in March. At first, the injury looked to be very basic but now reports are suggesting that the central midfielder could miss the rest of the season.
In such a scenario, Juventus are a bit sceptical of bringing onboard a player who is injured and the Serie A outfit are now shifting their focus to Aaron Ramsey.
Unlike Emre Can, Ramsey will not come free of cost but Juve are not willing to gamble their next season by relying on an injured player.
