Manchester City were crowned the Premier League champions of the 2017-18 season thanks to Manchester United who slumped to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of West Brom on Sunday.
United managed to delay their local rivals’ title win last weekend after picking up a superb 3-2 victory at the Etihad.
But this Sunday at home to West Brom, Jose Mourinho’s men bottled once again and lost the opportunity to pick up all three points.
And after the match, life-long Red and current pundit Gary Neville decided to tweet about City’s title win.
Neville quoted a tweet which said that after winning the league, Manchester City are now just one title Sunderland and two behind Ashton Villa.
“Man City just one English league title behind Sunderland now, two behind Aston Villa”

Neville has been a United fan all his life, so clearly, he was not happy to see their bitter rivals win the league at the expense of Manchester United.
Thus the former full-back decided to add something of his own to the retweet.
Neville said: “Something to cheer me up!!”

City fans though were clearly not happy with Gary Neville’s tweet and they decided to slam the pundit by claiming that he has been using Manchester United’s past glory to cover up his team’s recent failures.
When I need cheering up I watch highlights of your Valencia team, good we all have our ways of coping with sadness

Nice using Villa and Sunderland as some kind of benchmark to be laughed at just because they're currently playing in the Championship, despite both clubs being steeped in history. Coming across like a right chump @GNev2 – football didn't begin in 1992 you know

Manchester City are currently on 87 points with 5 games left in hand meaning that if Pep Guardiola’s side manages to win every single one of their remaining games then they would amass a total of 102 points.
