Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin picked up a cruciate ligament injury in January of this year and initially it had been reported that the player would be out for the rest of the season.

The Gunners were playing vs Chelsea when Hector Bellerin’s knee gave way as he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament.

The club later confirmed that an operation needed to be performed and the right-back would be out for six to nine months.

Now providing an update on his injury, Hector Bellerin has stated that he has returned back to the London Colney grounds.

But before you get your hopes too high, the right-back is not yet back to training and he was just back at the training grounds to do some check-ups.

“It’s my first day at the training ground yesterday,” Bellerin said.

“They just checked how my knee was, really. Did some movements, some measurements, some tests and everything looks good, they’re really happy.”

Here’s the video:

During the 2018-19 season, the right-back played in 19 games in the league providing five assists.

But now it is more than certain that Hector Bellerin will not be returning back any time soon and the Spaniard will play his next game for Arsenal in the 2019-20 season.
