Arsenal have just set out for their pre-season tour in China and Australia. And one of the players that was missing from the squad was goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny.

The Polish International spent the whole of last season out on loan to AS Roma. And it is here that his brilliant performances have caught the eye of Juventus. According to JuveFC, the Torino outfit and Szczęsny have already agreed on the personal terms regarding a possible transfer.

As per the transfer grapevines, Juventus are paying somewhere in the region of €18 million for the keeper.

It is also being said that a deal has well and truly been struck between both the clubs and that is why Arsenal have deliberately left out Szczęsny from their pre-season tour.

Juventus are keen on bringing the 27-year-old on board and they see him as a long-term replacement to Gianluigi Buffon. Buffon has only 12 months left before he hangs up his boots at the end of the next season. And as per the report, next season the Italian shot-stopper might only be used for Champions League matches, while Szczęsny will be preferred for the national ones.

And once Gigi Buffon formally retires then the Polish International can become the regular No 1 for Juve.
