Arsenal beat Wolves in the Premier League this past weekend but they will have no time to enjoy the taste of their success since next up they face Leicester City at home.

The Foxes visit the Emirates on Tuesday night and despite the Gunners going into the match as slight underdogs, four wins on the trot will surely have given Mikel Arteta and his players some much-needed confidence.

Arsenal have won their last 9 home matches against Leicester in all competitions and the North London side are generally really ruthless at home so the Gunners will undoubtedly be looking to pick up all three points on Tuesday.

The Emirates outfit have also managed to keep clean sheets in their last three Premier League matches which is a great boost for the Gunners defence going into this game.

Arsenal team news vs Leicester City:

Bernd Leno is out for the remainder of the season so Martinez is now the official No 1 for Mikel Arteta’s side.

The Gunners boss will once again opt for a 3-4-3 formation which means David Luiz and Shkodran Mustafi will likely be partnered by Sead Kolasinac in defence.

Pablo Mari injured his ankle ligaments soon after the resumption and the defender will be out of action for two to three months.

Cedric Soares played as the right-wing back vs Wolves on Saturday but Hector Bellerin is likely to return to the starting line-up as Kieran Tierney will keep his place on the other side of the pitch.

Granit Xhaka and Dani Ceballos have formed a redoubtable partnership in central midfield for Arsenal and the pair will start vs Leicester as well. Lucas Torreira will start on the bench while Matteo Guendouzi should once again be watching this match from home.

Mesut Ozil is yet to fully recover from his back problem meaning the German could be a miss for this match while Nicolas Pepe will also remain absent due to personal issues.

With Pepe out of contention, Bukayo Saka will keep his place in the starting XI and will play on the right flank as Aubameyang operates down the left-hand side of the pitch.

Alexandre Lacazette came off the bench and scored vs Wolves on Saturday and the Frenchman will likely get the nod ahead of young Eddie Nketiah in midweek.

Gabriel Martinelli has undergone an arthroscopic procedure to repair a lesion in the cartilage of his left knee and the youngster is ruled out for the rest of the season.

Arsenal’s predicted XI vs Leicester City:

Predicted starting XI: Martinez, David Luiz, Mustafi, Sead Kolasinac; Granit Xhaka, Dani Ceballos, Keiran Tierney, Hector Bellerin; Aubameyang, Lacazette/Nketiah, Bukayo Saka.
