Both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are going head to head in order to acquire the services of PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The 22-year-old player is a youth product of the PSG academy and has made over 150 games for the Paris outfit since debuting for their senior team back in 2012. His current contract with PSG expires in 2019 and the discussions of a new deal are yet to get underway. And as per the latest news, both Arsenal and Spurs are keeping a close eye on how the discussions pan out. And if something adverse happens then they will be more than ready to jump in and sign up the player.

PSG though might not be very keen to let the player leave the club since Rabiot is a homegrown talent. But that will certainly not stop a host of top European teams from placing bids for the player in January. As per the reports, Inter Milan have also reignited their interest in the player after they tried to sign him once three years back.

Barcelona may also come to Paris for the player as some reports claim that the Blaugrana are looking at the midfielder as a long-term replacement for Andres Iniesta. Yesterday we reported how the Catalans were looking to drop their interest in Philippe Coutinho and were looking at other players. And Adrien Rabiot might just be one of them.

But amongst all these teams, Arsenal are the team that need the player more than anyone else. The North London outfit have a string of first-team players who are in the final year of their contracts and are not likely to sign a new deal. And Arsene Wenger is desperate to plug in those holes before those players pack their bags and exit the Emirates.
