Arsenal picked up a hard-fought 3-2 win vs Aston Villa in the English Premier League last weekend and now they will shift their focus to an Old Trafford clash against Manchester United.

The Gunners have had a rather rocky start to the 2019-20 season and they have dropped points against the likes of Liverpool, Spurs and Watford recently. But last weekend the Gunners showed that they were more than willing to fight for their manager and that elusive Champions League spot.

The Man United vs Arsenal clash comes at a perfect time since the London side are currently sitting pretty in the fourth spot of the league table but they also head to the Theatre of Dreams with an almost fully fit squad.

Arsenal news vs Man United:

Arsenal took on Nottingham Forest in the League Cup this week and this game saw a return of a number of first-team players who had been out with injuries.

Defenders Rob Holding and Kieran Tierney were given their first starts of the new season while Hector Bellerin also made an appearance off the bench.

But we don’t think any of these players are likely to start the Man United vs Arsenal clash on Monday.

In central defence, the manager will name the duo of Sokratis and David Luiz while Kolasinac should return back to his left-back role.

Maitland-Niles has served his one-match ban meaning he will be available for selection but Callum Chambers put in a fine shift against Forest in midweek which has led many people to believe that the latter could keep his place in the starting line-up.

Lucas Torreira played in central midfield against Forest but the Uruguayan should drop back to the bench as Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi start at Old Trafford.

Alexandre Lacazette is still unavailable which means Reiss Nelson could be in line to start on the left flank during the Man United vs Arsenal game.

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang should play upfront while Nicolas Pepe will play down the right flank.

On paper, this should be an evenly matched contest but the Gunners will surely have an edge going into the match since Man United have a series of injuries to deal with and players like Pogba, Martial and Rashford could miss out.
