Barcelona have just announced their new manager in the form of Ernesto Valverde and it looks as if the new boss wants to straight away get down to business.
Valverde has apparently made Ander Herrera his top priority signing for the summer transfer window. Earlier Barcelona had made a list of the possible candidates that they wanted to bring in the summer. But it looks as if most of them are out of the transfer market.
So, the new coach has pinpointed Herrera as his main man. And shockingly Barcelona may be willing to pay something as high as 60 million euros for the Spanish international.

Herrera has recently had his best season in United colours since joining the club in 2014. And he was aptly chosen as the Player of the Season by the United fans. He has slowly but steadily become one of the key men in the United outfit. And by the looks of it, he seems very important to Mourinho’s long-term plans.

But United are yet to offer him an improved contract for his performances. The club was set to present a contract in April but somehow that did not materialize.
Valverde has a close personal relationship with Herrera after he coached him during the Spaniard’s time at Bilbao. And the new Barca boss wants to put that to use in order to bring Herrera to Camp Nou. If the assumptions are true then he wants to build his new midfield around the hard working Spaniard.

Earlier there were numerous reports that Herrera was wanted by Barcelona. But none of those rumors were so strong. It looks as if Barcelona might just go all out to get the services of Ander Herrera.
And with a close relation with the new boss and the Barcelona brand to add to it, who know what might happen?
