Both Arsenal and Chelsea have launched bids for Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez – as per reports.

The 24-year-old has failed to make a mark under Ernesto Valverde this season having made only six appearances.

Out of these six appearances, Denis Suarez has scored two goals but both of them have come in the Copa del Rey whereas the central midfielder has played only 17 minutes in the La Liga.

Both Sarri and Emery are said to be big fans of Suarez and the Italian tried to sign him for Chelsea during the summer too.

Unai Emery has also watched a lot of the player during his time in Spain and he feels Denis Suarez will be the perfect addition to his midfield – alongside the likes of Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi.

On Friday some reports had claimed that Denis Suarez had made up his mind on leaving Barcelona and he would be deciding which club to join sometime next week.

Now though, both Arsenal and Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer since both Everton and West Ham United have reportedly joined the race to sign the player.

Both Everton and West Ham are stuck in the middle of the Premier League table and they feel they need to bring in some fresh players in order push for that top half finish.

The Toffees have not sighed away from spending big during the past few years meaning money will not be a problem for them.

The Hammers too have brought in an array of new players during the summer – spending in excess of 100 million pounds

And perhaps the biggest problem for Arsenal and Chelsea is the fact that Barcelona do not have any preference and the Catalans will be willing to sell to any one of these clubs.
