Barcelona have had Luis Suarez for a couple of seasons now and the South American has been one of the major attacking pillars for the club.
But the forward is not getting any younger and it looks like Barcelona have already set the ball rolling in trying to bring in a long-term replacement.
If reports are to be believed then the La Liga giants are looking to find a suitable replacement this summer itself and they are also ready to pay the big bucks for it.
It is being claimed that Barca are grown a liking towards Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette and they could make a move for him at the end of the season.
Alexandre Lacazette joined the Gunners from Lyon in the summer of 2017 and this season the Frenchman has been in top form for the North London club.
So far during the 2018-19 season, Alexandre Lacazette has played in 46 games scoring 18 goals and making 12 assists.
And recently the 27-year-old was voted the player of the year at Arsenal and it seems like his fine performances have convinced Barcelona that he is the ideal replacement for Luis Suarez.
In normal circumstances, the Gunners would not agree to sell Alexandre Lacazette but given that Unai Emery will have only around 50 odd million pounds to spend this summer, the manager might very well be tempted to let go of the forward if the La Liga giants are willing to pay the right price.
Arsenal already have Pierre Emerick Aubameyang amongst their ranks which means Emery can risk losing Alexandre Lacazette only if the transfer fee is around the 80 million pounds.
Having said all this though, if the Gunners fail to get back into the Champions League next season then they might find it really hard to hold on to the Frenchman man during the summer transfer window.
While Arsenal are on the back foot in terms of finishing in the top four of the Premier League but they still have the option of winning the Europa League and get back into the top-tier of European football.
