For the longest time, there has been a buzz around Europe that Roman Abramovich wants to sell Chelsea.

The Russian billionaire has been associated with the club ever since he bought it during the early 2000s.

But with a total of £1.25 billion in debt, it looks like Abramovich has finally decided to strike off Chelsea Football Club from his portfolio of investments.

Fordstam which is Chelsea’s parent company have lodged its accounts at the Companies House and it looks for the first time in over a decade, Roman Abramovich has not bought corporate boxes at Chelsea.

While this is no evidence that Chelsea are up for sale but the man who has pumped so much money into the club suddenly does not buy corporate boxes?

Well, that sounds odd.

During the past year, Roman Abramovich has found it really difficult to get into England due to the strained relationship between the UK and Russia after the Salisbury Novichok poisoning.

And due to this, Roman Abramovich has had to adopt an Isreali citizenship.

Currently, Sir Jim Ratcliffe looks to be the frontrunner to buying Chelsea but some rumours claim that the self-made British billionaire is not ready to pay the amount quoted by Roman Abramovich.

Initially, the selling of Chelsea was just supposed to be a rumour but now it looks like Roman Abramovich is dead serious about the deal and some experts believe the current owner might want to shed his status before the start of the 20191-20 season.
