Chelsea might have made a poor start to the new Premier League season but since then Frank Lampard has managed to steady the ship and right now the Blues are fourth on the league table.

The London outfit have lost just two out of the 10 games which they have played in the league and their last defeat came against Liverpool last month.

This weekend Chelsea travel to Vicarage Road in order to take on Watford FC who are currently last on the league table and this should be an easy three-pointer for Frank Lampard’s men.

Chelsea news vs Watford:

The Blues will take on Ajax in the Champions League next week which is why the manager would have loved to rest a few players.

But with so many players out injured, Lampard might have to name his regular first XI on Saturday.

N’Golo Kante and Ross Barkley both have been recovering from injuries and some reports have claimed that the duo might be fit to travel to Vicarage Road.

While the return of the midfielders will surely be a huge boost for the manager but it is more or less certain that even if they make it to the matchday squad they won’t be starting vs the Hornets.

This means that Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic will play in central midfield just like then did vs Man United on Wednesday.

Mason Mount came off the bench in the Carabao Cup clash but the youngster will surely be named in the first XI during the weekend.

Kurt Zouma was partnered by Zuehi in midweek but Tomori will return in central defence once again since Antonio Rudiger is still some weeks away from achieving full fitness.

Callum Hudson-Odoi played upfront vs United but the youngster should drop back to the bench vs Watford since Lampard would want to keep him fresh for the Ajax game next week.

This means Willian will play down the right flank while Christian Pulisic will move to the left-hand side.

Michy Batshuayi scored Chelsea’s only goal vs United on Wednesday which has led many people to believe that the Belgian might get the nod ahead of Tammy Abraham.

But we feel Frank Lampard will not want to tinker around with his first XI and hence will name Abraham in his starting line-up.

Chelsea’s team news vs Watford:

Starting XI: Arizzabalaga; Azpilicueta, Kurt Zouma, Tomori, Marcos Alonso; Jorginho, Kovacic, Mason Mount; Willian, Pulisic, Tammy Abraham.
