Chelsea lost their home match this Saturday to Leicester – a game which the Blues should have won with ease.

The Stamford Bridge outfit missed a number of great chances to go infront but then one chance fell to Leicester’s Jamie Vardy who made no mistake to tilt the match in the Foxes favour.

And after the disappointing result, many fans were wondering if Sarri’s honeymoon period is over and should the manager now try and make some bold decisions.

One obvious point that almost everyone raised was the absence of midfielder Danny Drinkwater who is yet to play a single minute of football this season with his last appearance coming in the Community Shield.

While players like Fabregas and Cahill too have fallen down the pecking order but these players have atleast made some appearance ever since the season began.

Sadly not Danny Drinkwater.

And now the manager has come out to clear the air about the midfielder’s situation.

“I think for him the problem is only my football,” said Sarri.

“He’s a very good midfielder but he is suitable for a midfield two because with a three he is not really a central midfielder or suitable for centre right or centre left.

“I don’t know(about his future). It depends on the club, it’s up to him.”

The manager has made it clear that he wants players like Cesc Fabregas and David Luiz to stay beyond the season but we clearly do not see Danny Drinkwater staying at Stamford Bridge beyond next month.

Fulham are said to be interested in signing the midfielder but many believe that Danny Drinkwater will choose to make a move to West Ham United given that they are in a better position in the Premier League table.
