Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku is reportedly on his way to Inter Milan and the Red Devils plan to reinvest the money on David Brooks.

Lukaku had recently claimed that he wishes to play in Italy and during the past couple of days, there have been numerous reports claiming that the forward has struck a deal in principle with Inter Milan.

All that is left is for both the clubs to agree on a transfer price and Man United are hopeful that they can recover the £75million they paid for the striker to Everton.

And reports have claimed that Solskjaer is not too keen to use that money to bring in a new striker.

Instead, he wants to use a chunk of the sale amount to bring on board David Brooks from AFC Bournemouth.

Ole seems to be focusing on signing young talents this summer and attacking midfielder David Brooks could be the next in line to join Man United after Daniel James.

The 21-year-old has had a wonderful season with the Cherries, scoring seven goals and making five assists and he is the kind of player who could bring about that attacking spark in the midfield area of the pitch.

But this heavy interest from Man United will surely be bad news for Tottenham Hotspur as they have been keeping tabs on David Brooks for a couple of months now.

As per the report, United are ready to pay around £50 million for Brooks meaning the Lilywhites just cannot afford to get into a bidding war with their Premier League rivals.

If the Old Trafford outfit can sell off Lukaku then they will not have to empty their pockets in order to sign Brooks whereas Spurs on the other hand just cannot afford that much money right now.

The only way Pochettino can pay £50 million for David Brooks is if Christian Eriksen is sold at a hefty price to Real Madrid during the summer transfer window.
