Europa League final Baku Olympic Stadium

Arsenal will take on Chelsea in the Europa League final at the Baku Olympic Stadium later this month.

This final has already been defaced by a number of controversies with meagre ticket allocation to the selection fo the venue.

And many people believe that all these off the field debates will take away the shine from the actual London Derby set to take place in Azerbaijan.

Many people have claimed that Chelsea will have the upper hand in the final given that they can play more freely since they have already qualified for the Champions League.

But according to former Gunner Robin Van Persie, it is Arsenal who will have the edge.

“Personally, I think Arsenal have the edge,” Van Persie told the BBC(as reported).

“They’re a little bit better. But Chelsea have Eden Hazard and he is a very special player – at any time he can come up with something.”

Earlier this week, even Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri had come out to claim that Arsenal will perhaps be more motivated to win the Europa League as compared to his own side.

‘It’s a risk of course,’ Sarri said.

‘On the other hand, we have to consider the pressure. At the moment we risk having less motivation than our opponents.

‘But they might have more pressure than us. There is a positive and negative side to both.

‘We didn’t want to play this final for the Champions League, as I said a few months ago we wanted the Champions League through the Premier League, now we want to play for a trophy.’

Arsenal need to win this Europa League final in order to get into the Champions League for the 2019-20 campaign but for Chelsea, this game in Baku is a golden opportunity to end the season with a trophy.
