Rangers FC stunned everyone by picking up a 4-2 win over Borussia Dortmund in the away leg of their Europa League game meaning the SPFL side are now the favourites to move into the next round.

The Gers completely outplayed and outclassed the German giants and it’s now their tie to throw away as BVB come to Ibrox for the second leg this week.

Rangers FC are in great form at their home ground, winning their previous nine games across all competitions and Giovanni van Bronckhorst will want to keep this winning streak going by making minimal changes.

The manager does have a few injuries going into this all-important game but the players who started in the 1st leg are all fully fit so he won’t be too worried. Borussia Dortmund picked up a thumping 6-0 win during the weekend in the Bundesliga meaning they will go into Thursday’s game in prime form. Rangers need to be really careful because even though they are in the driver’s seat since clawing back a two-goal deficit is not out of reach of Marco Rose’s side.

Rangers team news vs Borussia Dortmund:

The manager is not expected to make any unnecessary changes to his starting line up on Thursday night but he does have a few injury concerns which will make substitutions a bit complicated.

Back-up goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin tested positive for COVID so he is going to miss out.

Ianis Hagi remains a long-term injury and Leon Balogun is recovering from a leg injury. Balogun’s expected return date is towards the end of this month, we don’t think he will be fit for the 2nd leg.

Apart from these two players, Aaron Ramsey is also going to miss out after picking up a calf injury which means Scott Arfield will once again play as the advanced midfielder on Thursday.

Manchester United’s Amad Diallo has very rapidly fallen down the pecking order since his loan move to Rangers FC and the youngster will only be good enough to find a place on the bench.

Rangers FC predicted line up vs Borussia Dortmund:
