Arsenal have been heavily linked with Norwich City winger Emi Buendia but the EPL side are not likely to get their hands on the 24-year-old if Sky Sports pundit Andy Hinchcliffe is to be believed.

Andy thinks Norwich City are not too keen to sell any of their first-team players during the ongoing transfer window and even if they do, it will be for a ridiculous amount of money.

He said on the Sky Sports EFL Podcast: “It shows how important it was to keep Daniel Farke at the club when they were relegated.

“You can see the benefit and the continuity that it brought.

“If it’s continuity that you want then you have to keep your best players like Buendia, Cantwell, Aaron. If they don’t have to sell any of those players then I don’t see why they would unless they got ridiculous money in for them.

“I don’t see Norwich selling any of their key players. Buendia in particular has been quite brilliant this season. If they can keep all of those players then they look like the most complete team at the moment.”

Will Arsenal make a move for the Norwich City man?

Arteta is keen to add some new players to his first-team squad this month and with Willian and Pepe both turning out to be massive failures, Emi Buendia would have been the perfect upgrade.

As per some reports, Norwich City want around £50million to part ways with Emi Buendia this month and there’s no way Arsenal will agree to spend so much money on a single player during the middle of the season.

If this price tag is true then the Gunners will no longer pursue the 24-year-old winger during the ongoing transfer window and rely on Bukayo Saka playing as the right-winger.

During the 2020-21 season, the Norwich City man has scored seven and assisted seven goals in the Championship so far and if he can maintain the same intensity for the remainder of the season then Arsenal are sure to reignite their interest in the summer.
