Wolves went to the Emirates and were able to pick up a well deserved 1-1 draw vs Arsenal this weekend in the Premier League. And in all fairness, they should have picked up the win too.

The Gunners started the brighter of the two sides on Saturday but during the second half it was Wolves who were the better side and throughout the match, they managed 25 shots out of which 8 were on target.

Honestly, if it wasn’t for Bernd Leno, Arsenal would have tasted defeat at the hands of Wolves. But despite all this, Unai Emery chose to call this match and even content.

A lot of people obviously do not with the Arsenal manager and one of them happens to be Ian Wright who not only slammed the Spanish boss for his comments but also explained how Wolves were able to dominate most of the match despite playing away from home.

“Listening to the boss saying it was an equal game, they had 25 shots the most ever at the Emirates,” he said[as reported by Football London].

“All the midfielders are being bypassed too easily. Again, you look at Torreira, he’s way up the field, so is Ceballos. Once you get into this situation, there’s nothing you can do to stop Wolves.

“Watching Arsenal, I think it’s very easy to play through Arsenal, I think Wolves were unlucky with the run of the ball in the latter stages.

“Matteo Guendouzi is unlucky there but once they’ve lost the ball, look at that space, where’s the midfield to get in there and help? They get an overload here and the only reason they get away with it is it’s a poor ball from Traore.

“This is the goal and I don’t know what to say. It’s poor from Ceballos, they switch off, Wolves, it’s a good ball in, there are two defenders and he [Jimenez] beats them quite easily.

“This is the last knockings of the game, you’re thinking it’s 1-1, just keep it. The centre-half [Sokratis] comes into an area, leaves the space behind him, easy ball through, Jota is very unlucky not to get something, it’s worrying times.”

This point for Wolves means Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are now 11th on the table and have not lost a match in their last five league outings.
