According to a report by 90min, winger Jack Grealish is already making plans to leave Manchester City at the end of the 22/23 season.

City spent a staggering £100 million to sign him from Aston Villa in the summer of 2021 but he’s yet to become a regular under Pep Guardiola. So far, he’s played in only 45 games for Manchester City, scoring seven and assisting four goals.

This is in stark contrast to his time at Villa Park where he was the star player in the side and was a nightmare for defenders in the Premier League.

It’s just been one full season since his move to the Etihad Stadium but as per the report, Grealish has already asked his agent to find him a new destination next summer.

Is Jack Grealish really planning to leave Man City?

At £100 million, he should have had an instant impact but more than a year down the line and Jack Grealish is still mostly coming off the bench.

His situation is not expected to get much better because Phil Foden is improving with each passing game and it’s very clear that Pep Guardiola has more faith in the youngster than Grealish.

His current contract with the club expires in 2027 so Man City are in no hurry to cash in on him but if his situation does not improve this campaign then it won’t be a surprise if Jack Grealish asks to leave next summer.

The England winger is already 27 years old so the last thing he will want is to spend his peak professional years warming the benches.

Which clubs can afford to sign Jack Grealish?

If Jack Grealish is indeed available in the market then surely several big European clubs will come calling.

His current market valuation is £63 million and teams like PSG, Real Madrid and Barcelona can all afford to pay this type of transfer fee.

Chelsea’s new owner is also looking to revamp the team and he’s ready to spend money to do that. If Grealish is up for sale then someone like Todd Bohely will definitely put in a bid.

A player of his calibre will be perfect for Conte’s Tottenham but unless the Lilywhites sell one of their star players we don’t think Daniel Levy is going to sanction this kind of move. There have been rumours that Bayern Munich are interested in Harry Kane and if the Germans pay a hefty fee for Kane then Spurs moving for Jack Grealish can become a reality.

The winger has been linked with Arsenal previously and if the Gunners can get back into the Champions League then Mikel Arteta won’t shy away from going after him. Currently, Gabriel Martinelli is playing on the right wing so someone like Jack Grealish will be a massive upgrade in that position.
