Will Chelsea give up on signing Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund after having reportedly agreed on a deal to bring in Hakim Ziyech.
As per De Telegraaf, The Blues have reached an ‘oral agreement’ to sign Ziyech from AFC Ajax for a reported transfer fee of €45 million and if this hold true then the 26-year-old winger will be a fine addition to Frank Lampard’s side.
The Morrocan international joined Ajax in 2016 and since then, he’s been a key part of the Ajax squad and this season he has already amassed 13 assists in the Eredivisie.
But now that the Blues have managed to rope in a right-sided winger many believe they will no longer pursue BVB’s, Jadon Sancho.
Chelsea have been linked with the English teenager for quite some time now and most pundits believed that they will launch a bid for him as soon as the current season came to an end.
Now though, with Lampard signing a player who plays in the same position as Jadon Sancho many feel that the Blues boss wouldn’t want to waste unnecessary money on the youngster.
But according to a report by Sky Sports, the London club very much remain in the hunt to sign the teenager.
Sky are claiming that Lampard still has around £150 million to spend in the summer and the manager might use a large chunk of that money in trying to sign Jadon Sancho.
Having said that though, bringing the youngster in will not be a cakewalk since clubs like Manchester United as well as Liverpool have also been linked heavily with Sancho.
