Joshua Zirkzee AC Milan

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport[h/t Football Italia], Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee is AC Milan’s number one target but Man United and Arsenal could join in and spoil the party for the Italian side.

Milan are eyeing Joshua Zirkzee and Benjamin Sesko as their two main summer targets but both Man United and Arsenal are also looking for attacking reinforcements and some experts believe the two Premier League sides might be ready to pay premium price for the 22-year-old.

Bologna wish to hold onto the Dutch forward for one more season but if they get an offer of around €75 million then they will allow him to leave at the end of this season. His contract with the Serie A side expires in 2026 and he is currently valued at €40 million.

Will Joshua Zirkzee move to the Premier League next season?

Joshua Zirkzee is a product of the Bayern Munich academy and the Bavarians also have a €40 million buy-back option. However, the reports in Italy are claiming that Bayern do not wish to activate this clause.

Last season, the 22-year-old scored only two goals in 21 appearances for the club but this time around, he’s netted 11 goals along with 5 assists in 30 games across all competitions.

The 6ft 3inch striker has an xG of 8.38 this campaign and in 27 league appearances, he’s had 74 shots plus he’s also created 38 chances. He’s not only a good goal-scorer but unlike other forwards, he also likes to help out in defensive scenarios.

If Milan can sort out their finances then Joshua Zirkzee will be a great buy for them but we don’t think Man United or even Arsenal are serious about the Dutch forward.

United spent a similar amount on Rasmus Hojlund last summer so there’s no need for them to go after the Bologna man. Hojlund initially struggled to score goals but the Danish international has finally found his feet in the Premier League.

Arsenal, however, will get rid of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah at the end of this season so they do need a new world-class striker but Mikel Arteta is more interested in signing someone like Viktor Gyokeres, Osimhen and Benjamin Sesko.

Joshua Zirkzee is definitely on the Gunners’ wishlist but they will definitely not prioritize a move for him.
