Arsenal brought in Mikel Arteta to replace Unai Emery during December of last year and since then, the Gunners have moved mostly forward.
The initial months were really tough but ever since the restart of the campaign after the lockdown, Arsenal have been working wonders under Mikel Arteta.
The North London side have managed to win the FA Cup and Community Shield during the past few months and they have also made a winning start to the new Premier League season.
But despite all the positives, pundit Martin Keown feels that communication with the players could be a bit of an issue inside the dressing room.
“Arteta talks in four or five different languages,” Keown said on BT Sport, as quoted by the Metro.
“That would worry me because I’d like to hear some of it in English if I was an English player. [Arsene] Wenger said ‘one language, a common language’
“Nonetheless, he’s a fantastic communicator and he’s getting that message across.
“And when you do talk a lot, as I am now, you’ve got to get results because people stop listening.”
Well, so far whatever Mikel Arteta has been doing inside the dressing room clearly seems to be working since Arsenal looked a really strong side during their 3-0 win over Fulham this past weekend.
But the real test is still to come and if the Gunners can maintain this same pace over the course of their next few matches then surely they’ll make a strong case for a top-four finish.
Next up, Arsenal take on West Ham United following which Mikel Arteta will have to prepare his side for clashes against Leicester City and Liverpool.
