Man United are reportedly looking to make a move for Juventus forward Paulo Dybala as the long-term replacement to the 33-year-old Edinson Cavani.

Cavani has been signed on a one-year deal and according to transfer expert Ian McGarry, Man United are keen to make a move for the Argentine interntional, if Juventus fail to make him sign a new deal.

“He has been offered €11.5million gross for an extension of three years to his current deal,” McGarry told the Transfer Window Podcast, as per TEAMtalk.

“His agent, Jorge Anton, is due to speak with Juventus in the coming days with regards to deal or no deal.

“The club is becoming perplexed with his indecision, whether he wants to stay or whether he wants to leave.

“It’s our understanding that United see Dybala as a long-term solution to what has been a short-term solution in Edinson Cavani, in terms of his age.

“Dybala, of course, at 27 has the best years of his career ahead of him and would suit their cultural reboot policy with regards to age and the style of football they want to play.”

Cavani’s current deal can be extended by a further year but we seriously do not think Ole will be too keen to do that given that the 33-year-old is on the wrong side of his playing career.

Making a move for Paulo Dybala is a much sensible option, more so since the Turin outfit are not finding it easy to make him sign a new deal.

27-year-old’s deal at Juve expires in 2022 and the latest rumours in Europe claim if the forward does not put pen on paper to a new contract by the end of this season then the club could put him up for sale in the summer.

It’s still early days but surely Man United are not going to offer Edinson Cavani a long-term deal meaning sooner or later they are likely to search for a replacement and it seems Paulo Dybala is going to be that man.
