An update on Arsenal’s move on for ‘this’ Celtic youngster: Have they gotten any closer?

Arsenal have been chasing Kieran Tierney all throughout the summer and recent reports had suggested that the Gunners are on the verge of signing the youngster.

Kieran Tierney is regarded as one of the finest young talents in Scotland right now and the left-back is considered the heir to the throne of Andy Robertson.

Last season he did not play in too many matches due to a hernia problem but he has undergone an operation this summer and should be fully fit for the 2019-20 campaign.

The Gunners have already submitted two bids to sign the Scott but rumours have it that they are yet to mee the demands of Celtic.

The Bhoys want around 25 million pounds for the sale of Kieran Tierney which is something the Gunners are just refusing to pay and recently the Celtic boss had made it clear that they are in no hurry to sell him off.

Neil Lennon had said: “It’s as you were really.

“I’ve had no information other than there were two bids that came in from Arsenal that were rejected.

“There has been no further inroads into that really. Our valuation of Kieran wasn’t met and it’s as simple as that. You will see other transfers not going through because valuations haven’t been met.

“It’s not a case of Arsenal being disrespectful.

“They put a bid in that they valued the player at. They came back again and obviously see Kieran as a very good player, as we do. But on a long-term contract, we’re in a very strong position when it comes to Kieran.”

But earlier this week though, there were reports that the Gunners have moved pretty close to signing Kieran Tierney from Celtic FC.

Sky Sports Kaveh Solhekol has claimed:

‘Difference between what Arsenal are offering for Kieran Tierney and what Celtic want is “only a couple of million pounds”. Player is happy at Celtic but would like the chance to speak to Arsenal if deal can be agreed.‘

This clearly means that Arsenal are on the verge of agreeing on a deal for Kieran Tierney and the deal should be wrapped up by next week.
