Liverpool are in cruise control this season and right now they have a 13 point lead at the top of the Premier League table. But that could very well shorten by the end of this weekend since the Reds travel to London in order to take on Tottenham Hotspur.

The Reds have so far dropped just two points in the league and have managed to rise above every challenge. But this Spurs side is currently being managed by Jose Mourinho and the former Man United boss is an expert in breaking down big-name sides.

While the Spurs fans will be hoping that their team can inflict Liverpool’s first defeat on the season but in order to achieve that Mourinho will surely have to pull out a managerial masterclass.

Liverpool team news vs Spurs:

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp made a host of changes to his starting XI vs Everton in the FA Cup and even with a relatively inexperienced side, the Reds managed to come out 1-0 winners.

Van Dijk was rested for the Merseyside Derby but the Dutchman will come back into defence as Joe Gomez keeps his place in the first XI.

Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip are still sidelined with injuries but the players should return back to action by the end of this month.

Robertson and Trent-Alexander Arnold were both rested for the FA Cup game but they will reprise their role on Saturday against Spurs.

James Milner picked up an injury vs the Toffees and the versatile player has been ruled out of the Spurs game alongside Naby Keita who is recovering from an injury.

Jordan Henderson will play in central midfield alongside Wijnaldum and it looks like Chamberlain will also get a start since Fabinho is still out with an ankle injury.

Minanmino made his debut for Liverpool against Everton but the attacking midfielder should start his first Premier League game on the bench and might come on in the second half.

The attacking trio of Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane were all rested for the cup game but will return to action vs the Lilywhites especially Mane who will be eager to put in a fine shift after winning the African Player of the Year award.

Goalkeeper: Alisson Becker.

Defenders: Robertson, Alexander-Arnold, Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez.

Midfielders: Henderson, Wijnaldum, Chamberlain.
