Man United suffered their 11th Premier League defeat of the season last weekend but they will be eager to get back to winning ways when they take on Everton on Saturday.

Everton are currently 16th on the table while Manchester United are sixth and quite funnily the Toffees have lost just one more game than Ten Hag’s men. On paper, Man United are the favourites to win this one but Everton know very well that the home side are very dodgy right now.

Everton are winless in their previous seven attempts and they haven’t kept a clean sheet in five matches but United’s are much better off either because they have lost two out of their previous three games.

Man United have won their last 4 matches against Everton in all competitions and they really need to win this one because, after this, they face Liverpool in the FA Cup and three consecutive losses are sure to get Ten Hag sacked.

Manchester United’s team news and injuries:

Manchester United will be without more than half a dozen injured players with the likes of Hojlund, Luke Shaw and Mason Mount all set to miss out.

Despite the 3-1 loss to Man City, Onana had a very solid game but the keeper needs to have a stable defensive line infront of him if United are to find some consistency.

Rashford and Jonny Evans both picked up knocks during the Manchester Derby but the knocks aren’t serious so they should be fine. Harry Maguire missed the derby due to an injury and he will be assessed before the Everton game.

If Maguire and Evans are unavailable then Lindelof will partner Varane and then Amrabat will most likely play at left-back.

Man United played with a false nine in the derby but for the Everton game, Ten Hag should go back to his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation with Antony playing out on the right flank and Rashford leading the line.

Omari Forson made his debut for Man United recently and if Ten Hag still has faith in his long-term plans then the youngster might just start ahead of Antony.

Hojlund’s absence has been a big blow for Manchester United because Rashford has been in really poor form and the England international is just not cut out to be a striker. He did score a world-class goal against City but barring that, he was absolutely wasteful.

Man United predicted line up vs Everton:

Predicted Starting Line up(4-2-3-1): Onana; Varane, Dalot, Lindelof, Maguire; Casemiro, Mainoo; Fernandes, Garnacho, Antony/Forson; Rashford.
