Newcastle United midfielder Mo Sangare sent the Magpies fans as well as the Rangers FC fans into a frenzy after he was seen wearing a Gers shirt before training.

Mo Sangare, 19 has been a key figure for Newcastle United’s reserve team last season making a total of 14 appearances. Reserve team coach Ben Dawson has marked out the importance of Mo Sangare and the club view the midfielder as a future prospect.

Both Newcastle, as well as Sangare, has previously not dropped any hints that he wishes to move out of St James’ Park. So clearly when the picture of him wearing a Rangers FC shirt came out everyone was shocked as well as confused.

Mo Sangare posted a picture on Instagram where the midfielder could be seen wearing a Rangers shirt.

And the picture was captioned: “Pree season ready”

And as soon as this picture caught everyone’s attention, fans from both the club started debating about it.

While Rangers fans were joyous about Steven Gerrard’s latest acquisition, the Magpies fans blasted their club for letting Mo Sangare move out.

A small section of the Newcastle fans also felt that their club might have loaned out the midfielder to the Ibrox outfit because of his failure to break into the first team last season.

But squashing all rumours, Mo Sangare posted another picture on Instagram where he clarified that the Rangers top was for his little brother and he is still very much a Newcastle United player.

One simple picture from Mo Sangare sent ripples down both Newcastle and Glasgow but in the end, it turned out to be nothing.
