Rangers FC beat a ten men Hearts side in the Premiership this weekend and with that, the Gers got their title challenge back on track.

Rangers are now sixth on the league table – 5 points behind league leaders Hearts while Celtic sit on the third spot with 16 points.

The Teddy Bears would have gone into the international break as one happy bunch but Gerrard’s staff have been hit with two major injury concerns on Monday.

According to reports, Croatian pair Nikola Katic and Borna Barisic had both landed to the international camp with injuries.

Nikola Katic has pulled out of the Croatia Under-21 squad which has since been confirmed by the Croatian football federation.

And Borna Barisic too will not play any part in the UEFA Nations League for Croatia.

The World Cup finalists will take on England on Friday and Jordan in a friendly next week and Barisic has been ruled out for both the fixtures.

Nikola Katic has a knee injury and the medical staff expect the summer signing will be fit before Rangers take on Spartak Moskova in the Europa League after the international break.

Borna Barisic is out with a muscle injury and initially, reports suggested that the player could miss 3 to 6 weeks of footballing action.

But now reports have confirmed that there wasn’t any rupture and Borna Barisic should return to training next week.

Rangers FC take on Hamilton right after the international break and Borna Barisic should be fit for that game. But Nikola Katic remains a major doubt.
