Manchester United have signed Odion Ighalo from the Chinese Super League and this transfer has already raised a number of eyebrows in the footballing circuit.

The player was not exactly a success at Watford during his first stint in the Premier League which is why not many people feel that he can be good enough player to play for a team like Manchester United.

All said and done though, Odion Ighalo is a die-hard Manchester United fan and it seems like he’s doing everything can to prove his worth to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

As per reports, Odion Ighalo is currently training with double sessions with Great Britain’s Olympic Taekwondo team and his performance coach Wayne Richardson feels the winter break might have given the forward the time needed for him to get back his fitness levels.

“If we didn’t have this break we would have been raising eyebrows,” Richardson said as reported by The Telegraph.

“United are in a position now where they need someone now. Is there a right time or wrong time? He’s going to Marbella and there is more of a chance of doing quality work with the United staff. He might have to hit the ground running due to injuries.

“By doing these sessions, he wants to hit the ground running and you can see that from the work he’s doing behind the scenes.

“From the moment he has stepped through the door, he is one of the few players who has blown me away. His determination, drive and willingness. He’s been doing double sessions and we’ve had to hold him back a bit and monitor him because he has fire in his stomach as a professional.”

Anthony Martial has obviously been a failure while playing in the centre-forward position this season and recently the Man United boss said he wanted a striker who was willing to break his nose in trying to score a goal.

And with the efforts that Odion Ighalo has been putting in to get back in shape, it looks like Ole might have finally hit the jackpot.
