After drawing three games in a row, Rangers FC finally got back to winning way by beating St Johnstone in midweek and next up, they take on Aberdeen at home.

The Gers are just three points behind league leaders Celtic so they will need to keep winning their games and hope that their Glasgow rivals slip up in the coming weeks.

Rangers FC are in great form this season at home having won their previous 18 Premiership matches at Ibrox. They are also undefeated in their last 10 matches against Aberdeen in all competitions so Van Bronckhorst go into this match very much the favourites.

The manager has a few injuries to be worried about so we don’t see him making any unnecessary rotations to his side. Rangers FC have a Europa League game against Red Star Belgrade next week so Van Bronckhorst will also have one eye on that game as well. The Serbian side are in great form in their domestic league so if Rangers can wrap up the Aberdeen game early then Van Bronckhorst is surely going to make some substitutions to keep his players fresh.

Aberdeen are winless in their previous five league outings so we are expecting too much resistance from the Dons.

Rangers team news & injury updates vs Aberdeen:

Filip Helander could return from his injury but it will touch and go for the defender. Even if he is fit then he will only find a place on the bench.

Goldson and Balogun will pair up in central defence with Tavernier and Bassey operating as the two full-backs.

Steven Davis and Ryan Jack both remain injury concerns and even January signing Aaron Ramsey is out with a calf injury meaning the Rangers FC manager does not have the luxury to make any major rotations to his midfield.

Ryan Jack could make a comeback against Aberdeen but it remains to be seen if he will be fit to start or not.

Amad Diallo’s loan move hasn’t gone to plan as the youngster is out with an injury and he is going to miss Saturday’s game meaning Scott Arfield will operate on the right flank.

Alfredo Morelos was the star of the show against St Johnstone having a rating of 8.3 out of 10 so he’s a guaranteed starter this weekend.

Rangers FC predicted line up vs Aberdeen:

Predicted XI(4-2-3-1): McGregor; Goldson, Balogun, Tavernier, Bassey; Kamara, Lundstram, Joe Aribo; Ryan Kent, Arfield; Alfredo Morelos.
