Rangers forward Eduardo Herrera is set to move back to his homeland after just one full season with the Gers – according to reports.
Herrera joined Rangers last summer from Pumas under the managerial regime of Pedro Caixinha, but the £1.5 million man was nothing but a big flop at Ibrox.
Ciaxinha had previously worked with Herrera at Santos and the 29-year-old arrived at Rangers with very high hopes. Now though he seems to have packed his bag in order to go back to Mexico and join Toluca.
Eduardo Herrera this week posted a story on Instagram which suggested that the forward was preparing for life away from Glasgow and now immediately reports have started surfacing that he is going back home.
Herrara played just 18 games in the Scottish League this season for Rangers and the forward was only able to put 1 ball into the back of the net.
When Steven Gerrard was appointed as the new boss everyone thought that the 29-year-old would be given a second chance at the club.
But as Umar Sadiq is moving closer to joining Rangers, Eduardo Herrera’s career with the Light Blues seems to be drawing to a close.
Umar Sadiq is set to arrive from AS Roma on a season-long deal and before that Steven Gerrard seems to be clearing all the dead wood from the locker room.
