Rangers have already made more than half a dozen signings during the summer transfer window and a couple of new players are still expected to arrive.

Amongst the anticipated ones, AS Roma striker Umar Sadiq seems to top the list as multiple sources have claimed that the 21-year-old is on his way to Ibrox.

But Rangers director of football Mark Allen has just hinted where his club might go in order to sign new players.

Speaking to the club’s official Youtube channel, Allen said that the Gers might make a few signings from Croatia.

Allen said: “Obviously we’ve been looking at our scouting arena,”

“You’re constantly looking to add people into that, and we’re looking to expand even further in terms of other areas and other markets.

“I think with Nikola Katic coming from Croatia, that’s another area and another market that we’re sort of fresh into, but we know quite a bit about, and I would expect us to be mindful of that market moving forward,”

Nikola Katic arrived at Rangers from on a four-year deal from Croatian side Slaven Belupo and it’s not a big secret that Mark Allen is looking at Croatia as a possible hunting ground.

The Croatian team have now managed to reach the semi-final of the 2018 World Cup where they will now face England on Wednesday evening.
