Real Madrid are looking to strengthen their attacking department in the summer and in a bid to do so, the Los Blancos wish to add Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford to their squad, reports Real Madrid Exclusivo.

Yes, as crazy as it may sound, Madrid wish to bring the England international and that too in a swap deal for Japanese winger Takefusa Kubo. Kubo joined Real Sociedad in 2022 from Madrid but Perez reportedly wants to resign him in the summer and then use him immediately in a swap deal for Rashford.

Kobu has done really well at Sociedad this season, scoring and assisting nine league goals so far and Real Madrid are ready to pay around €30 million for the 22-year-old. However, instead of reincorporating him into the squad, the Spanish giants want to use him as leverage.

Is it time for Man United to get rid of Marcus Rashford?

The England international was on fire last season but this time around, the forward has seen a major dip in form. In 23 Premier League games, he’s netted only five goals so far and it’s safe to say that he is going through a rough patch right now.

Rashford’s confidence is at an all-time low and the way Garnacho has been playing, some might thing think is the perfect to cash in on Marcus Rashford.

However, Erik ten Hag has not lost even an inch of faith in the forward and if the manager has plans to push Garnacho to the right wing then Marcus Rashford will have a major role to play down the left-hand side. Antony has been a failure and in recent matches, Garnacho has shone on the right wing so there’s every chance the Argentine will continue to play and flourish in that position.

Rashford’s disciplinary issues off the pitch have aggravated his problems but even then, the Man United manager has chosen not to make a fuss about it. Sancho has been frozen out of the squad after just a single public statement but despite Rashford’s multiple poor disciplinary problems, Ten Hag has refused to throw him under the bus.

The forward’s market value is €70 million and his contract expires in 2028 so Man United can make a lot of money from his sale but Ten Hag clearly sees him in his long-term plans and there’s no way the Dutch manager is going to agree on a sale.

Do Real Madrid really need the England international?

Madrid are one of the European giants and if they are serious about signing Marcus Rashford, there’s a big possibility they will go all out to sign him in the summer.

However, we really do not think the Los Blancos wish to sign the 26-year-old.

Rashford is primarily a left-winger and Real Madrid already have Vinicius Jr for that role and the Brazilian international is truly world-class. Also, Real Madrid are about to bring in Kylian Mbappe as a free agent and the French international, apart from playing up front can also operate on the left wing.

Mbappe has netted 22 goals across all competitions for PSG while Vini has contributed close to 150 goals for the Bernabeu outfit and to be honest, both these players are currently way talented and bankable.

Signing Takefusa Kubo from Sociedad and then using him in a swap deal for Marcus Rashford seems way too complicated when Ancelotti can easily put his faith in Vinicius Jr and Mbappe.
