Krzysztof Piatek has been on the transfer radar on Spurs but now it looks like Chelsea might have the opportunity to sign him – as per reports.

Piatek has played in 18 Serie A games this season for AC Milan but with Zlatan arriving at the club, Milan are willing to part ways with him during the current transfer window.

And as of now, Spurs have shown a keen interest in signing the forward after losing Harry Kane to a serious injury.

Harry Kane has most probably been ruled out for the rest of the season which is why Jose Mourinho is keen to bring in another striker during the current window and many believe that Krzysztof Piatek could be a perfect fit for the Lilywhites.

Now though according to transfer expert Nicolo Schira, the 24-year-old has been offered to Chelsea as a replacement to Olivier Giroud who is on the verge of heading out of the club.

His tweet read: “Krzysztof Piątek’s agents offered him to Chelsea to replace Olivier Giroud, who’s getting closer to Inter.

“Also, Tottenham are interested in Milan’s striker. Talks ongoing.”

It is still unclear whether Chelsea will actually make a move for Krzysztof Piatek since Lampard is eager to bring on Edinson Cavani on a short-term loan deal.

But Cavani is also on the radar of Manchester United who are looking for a replacement for Rashford and in such a scenario, the Blues might find it really tough to get the Uruguayan international.

Hence them making a move for Krzysztof Piatek could be a real opportunity for Chelsea. And if that happens then surely it will be a big blow for Jose Mourinho and his transfer plans.

UPDATE:

It looks like Tottenham Hotspur have really stood up and taken notice of the interest that Chelsea have shown in signing Piatek which is why Jose Mourinho seems to have made a move.

As per reports, Spurs have seen an initial loan bid rejected and now have swiftly moved to make an improved offer.

Jose Mourinho has lost Harry Kane to a big injury with reports claiming the striker will not play any more part this season which is why the Portuguese is so eager to land this Piatek transfer before the transfer window shuts down.

And while Milan are willing to let the out-of-favour forward move out this month, they certainly did not like the terms of Spurs’ first offer which is why we have to wait and see how the second bid looks like.
