Spurs have made a superb start to life under Ange Postecoglou and next up, they will welcome Sheffield United in matchweek five of the Premier League.

Tottenham are currently second on the table with 10 points from their first four matches and they are just two points behind league leaders Manchester City. Spurs are playing some really fluid football so they are the heavy favourites to win this weekend.

Sheffield United just picked up just one point so far losing three out of their four outings and right before the international break, they secured their only point which was a draw against Everton. It will be very hard for them to stand up against this Spurs side.

After this match, the home side have an all-important North London Derby against Arsenal so Postecoglou will definitely have one eye on that match. This superb start to the campaign will mean nothing if they are mauled by their local rivals but because they are not in Europe this season, Spurs will have one full week to recover after the Sheffield United game.

Tottenham’s team news and Sheffield United:

Postecoglou is missing some very important players and the likes of Sessegnon and Bentancur will not return before next month. Bentancur has been out for several months so the Spurs medical team will take it slow and steady with his recovery.

Cristian Romero had a minor injury scare for Argentina during this international break but the problem is not serious and the centre-back should be fully fit to start against Sheffield United.

Hugo Lloris is recovering from a hip injury so Vicario will remain the undisputed number one on Saturday.

Giovani Lo Celso is out with a quad strain but he should be back in action before Sheffield United come to town. Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp are the backup midfielders but both of them are central midfielders so if Lo Celso is not available then there won’t be any proper backup for James Maddison.

Manor Solomon played out on the left wing against Burnley and in that match he provided two assists so he does deserve another start this weekend. However, if Soloman starts then Richarlison will have to remain on the bench which will be really unfair for the Brazilian.

Maddison has been a breath of fresh air in that No 10 role and after a long time, Spurs have got their hands on a world-class playmaker. He will definitely start on Saturday and after the hat-trick against Burnley, Son will lead the line.

Spurs predicted line up vs Sheffield United:

Predicted Starting line up(4-2-3-1): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma; Maddison, Kulusevski, Solomon; Son.
