Tottenham Hotspur will take on Liverpool in the Champions League final next month at the Metropolitano.

And according to Ray Parlour, Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino should bench Dele Alli for this high-profile game.

Dele Alli created two of Moura’s three goals in the semi-final second leg vs Ajax as the Lilywhites made a sensational comeback. But during the past couple of games, the England international has been playing pretty average football.

And Parlour believes that Pochettino should pick Lucas Moura ahead of Dele Alli when Spurs take on Liverpool in the Champions League final.

“I would feel a little bit hard done by,” he told talkSPORT.

“I’ve[Lucas Moura] just scored a hat-trick away from home to get Tottenham through to the final and then you leave me out?

“It’s a disgrace if they leave him out. To score a hat-trick in a game as important as that was at Ajax.

“You can’t leave him out. You’d have to leave Dele out.

“If they left me out, I’d say, ‘Goodbye, thank you, I’m off’,

“You can’t leave him out after that.”

Dele Alli has really not shone for Spurs this season – especially during the second half of the campaign and for the final vs Liverpool, Pochettino would want his best players on the pitch.

And going by the form during the last couple of games of the season, Lucas Moura should get the nod ahead of Dele Alli without a shadow of a doubt.
