West Ham United are closing in on a move for Lazio attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson according to reports coming out of Italy.

Anderson signed a five-year deal for the Serie A side for a transfer fee of €7.8 million from Santos and since then the 25-year-old has been an instrumental part of the Lazio midfield.

Felipe Anderson has played 177 games for Lazio in all competitions – scoring 34 goals.

Primarily the Brazilian is an attacking midfielder but has also played in the various other positions for the Serie A side.

Anderson played 21 games in the Serie A last season scoring 4 goals but now reports are suggesting that Lazio are all but ready to offload the midfielder.

Sky Italia are claiming that Anderson is scheduled to move out of Italy during this week and his next destination seems to be West Ham United.

When it comes to player transfers in and out of Italy, Sky Italia are generally a reliable source and most often than not their reports hold the truth.

Sky Italia claims that Lazio sporting director Igli Tare was scheduled to be in London on Thursday in order to meet the West Ham management and discuss the final terms.

The report also suggests that there will a 20 per cent sell-on clause incorporated into the Felipe Anderson deal.

According to WhoScored.com, Felipe Anderson is known for his through passes and crossing but he lacks the ability to finish off moves.
