Midfielder Adrien Rabiot is likely to move out of Juventus this summer and the English Premier League seems to be his next destination.

The 25-year-old joined the Serie A side from PSG last summer on a free transfer but so far he’s only managed to feature in 17 league matches – most of them as substitutes.

According to a report in Tuttomercatoweb, the midfielder is probably going to move to England and right now Everton and Manchester United are the two favourites to land the him.

The report claims: “The setting of Adrien Rabiot to Serie A and probably to Juventus philosophy has not given the desired results.

“The impression is that above all the attitude and the desire to always give 101% are quality not always on the French side, hence the first market voices and the possibility of leaving Turin after only one year.

Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton and the usual Manchester United are also possible destinations.”

Problems in signing Adrien Rabiot?

Adrien Rabiot might not have been successful at Juventus but he’s still a pretty solid midfielder who can add real value to any side he joins.

Right now he earns around €7 million-plus bonuses in Turin which is no doubt inflated since he arrived as a free agent. But we doubt if any of the interested Premier League sides will be eager to pay such a massive salary to Rabiot.

Arsenal badly want someone to take up the leadership role in midfield but we don’t think the Gunners management will be ready to match the player’s current salary.

Chelsea too have similar problems but if their players like Jorginho and Kante were to leave, Frank Lampard might try and make a move for Adrien Rabiot in the coming months.

Manchester United are one of the rare clubs who can afford such wages but with players like Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish coming in, we do not think Solskjaer will want unnecessary burden on his wage bills next season.

Everton have been the front runners in signing Adrien Rabiot for a really long time and they might be the club who finally get to sign the French midfielder. Not only because they have money to spare but the 25-year-old also harbours ambitions of playing under Carlo Ancelotti.
