Arsenal picked up yet another win in the Premier League, this time beating Wolves 2-0 away from home. And after a really long time, Alexandre Lacazette managed to find the back of the net.

The Frenchman once again started on the bench as Mikel Arteta chose to use young Eddie Nketiah upfront and Lacazette came onto the pitch only in the 83rd minute of the match.

But it seems like Arteta has really been impressed with what he saw during the final 10 odd minutes from Alexandre Lacazette and the Gunners boss, after the match, has hinted that Frenchman could be in for a long-lasting time at the club.

“I’m delighted for him because he completely deserved it,” Arteta said, as per the club’s official website.

“It’s been a long time since he scored away from home but he scored a crucial goal for us again. Not only that, but his contribution when he stepped onto the pitch was massive.

“We have to have a chat about the next step with him and get his ideas and his feelings. As I said, I am really happy with him.

“He’s a player that I’ve always liked, even when I wasn’t here, because of what he brings to the team: his qualities, his ability, his work rate. So let’s see. Now we are in a crucial moment.

“It’s no time to talk about a lot of contract situations. We still have time and we will do it in the right moment.”

Alexandre Lacazette has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal ever since Mikel Arteta has taken charge and the Frenchman still has a lot of work to do in order to win back the trust of his manager.

But getting a goal against a team like Wolves will be a great confidence booster for the forward and there’s a big chance the 29-year-old will get to start against Leicester City during midweek.

And if he can impress his boss from now until the end of the season, then there’s every chance the player might not be shown the door during the summer transfer window.
