Premier League sides Manchester City and Liverpool are constantly keeping tabs on Jamal Musiala but the youngster might just end up signing a new deal with Bayern Munich.

His current contract with Bayern expires in 2026 but the Bavarians do not want to lose him which is why they have slapped a €116 million price tag on him. However, Bayern still feel they could lose Jamal Musiala in the summer which is why they have already started the process of a new deal.

As per Football Insider, Bayern Munich are accelerating contract talks with the midfielder’s representatives and they are confident that he is going to sign the new deal.

Will Jamal Musiala be tempted to leave Bayern Munich?

Jamal Musiala briefly spent time with the Chelsea academy before joining Bayern’s youth setup in 2019 and if the terms of the deal are not right then the youngster might very well want to return to England.

Man City and Liverpool are said to be the two frontrunners in this transfer race and between the two, if Man City come calling then Bayern could face a few troubles.

Liverpool, under Jurgen Klopp, has been a force to be reckoned with but we will have to wait and see if the big-name players are still interested in playing for the club once Klopp leaves in the summer. If Xabi Alonso takes charge then maybe yes, but anyone else and we seriously doubt if superstars like Jamal Musiala will want a move to Anfield anytime soon.

MCFC, however, can very easily tempt the German international to join them because not only do they have the money to pay Bayern’s demanded transfer fee but at the same time, they are said to be looking for a long-term replacement for Kevin De Bruyne.

KDB is wanted by several Saudi clubs and if Man City do end up selling him to a Middle Eastern club then someone like Jamal Musiala can be the ideal heir.

The 21-year-old already has 73 goal contributions in just 156 games for the Bavarians and we can very much see him take up the De Bruyne role at the Etihad Stadium.

Bayern Munich are club that historically don’t pay massive wages and as per Salary Sport, Jamal Musiala earns £90,000 per week at the club. The midfielder will definitely want a significant pay rise under the terms of his new deal and it will be interesting to see just how much the club is ready to offer him.
