Zinedine Zidane to replace Hansi Flick as the next Germany manager

Zinedine Zidane has been having a really poor week, with Real Madrid first dropping points against Levante during the weekend and then suffering a 2-1 loss at the hands of Manchester City in the Champions League.

The Los Blancos were in cruise control for most of the first half and then eventually it was Isco who put the home side infront int he 60th minute as Madrid looked all set for an easy win on the night.

That though was not to be as Man City fought back to turn the game on it’s head and win it 2-1.

And if things could not get any worse, Zinedine Zidane lost Sergio Ramos to a red card during the final few minutes of the match meaning the defender will not be a part of the Real Madrid squad when the La Liga side travel to Manchester.

But still after such mishaps, Zinedine Zidane feels that all is not lost for his side since they could have conceded even more goals meaning the two-legged tie would well and truly be beyond them.

He said via MEN: “I want to say that a football match lasts 90 minutes. We played very well, even scored at a moment where we were not as good.

“We did the hardest part, we were better after we scored, but we needed to hold on to the result and instead we made two mistakes. In 10 minutes, we lost the game. It’s tough. It is true that everything accumulated against us tonight, it felt like a lot.

“We even could have conceded a third goal. When you look at how the match went, we are not leaving with a good result, with all that we put in.

“It was a good match of football and it is a shame to finish it by losing.

“Now, there is the 2nd leg… We know very well that we are going to have to grab hold of the game. That is also the beauty of football, we are going to try to do it all in the 2nd leg.”

Real Madrid surely have the firepower to score more than two goals at the Etihad but Zinedine Zidane will have tactfully work out his plan and then ensure that his player follow each and every instruction of his.
