Real Madrid manager Zidane Zidane has had a really whirlwind season with his team coming up with poor performances in the La Liga and at the same time, crushing all competition in the Champions League.

The Los Blancos sit third on the league table – 15 points behind leaders Barcelona and it’s pretty clear they won’t be winning the La Liga. Now Zidane’s only hope of turning this season into a good one is if he can retain the Champions League trophy.

According to reports coming out of Spain, if Zidane Zidane fails to deliver the Champions League trophy at the end of the campaign then the Frenchman could very well be shown the door at the Bernabeu.

And if such a scenario occurs then Florentino Perez would want Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp to take of Real Madrid next season.

Perez is said to be a huge admirer of the German and his playing style. The Real Madrid head is particularly impressed with the way the former BVB manager has turned around the fate of Liverpool.

The Reds look potent under Klopp this season and despite losing Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona at the start of the new year, Liverpool have shown no signs of slowing down.

Liverpool are also in a commanding position in the quarterfinals of the Champions League against Manchester City and going into the second leg, they are certainly the favourites to progress into the semi-finals.

So as things stand, the only way Zinedine Zidane will be able to save his job at Real Madrid is by winning the Champions League for a third successive time.

Or else, the Los Blancos will be coming after Jurgen Klopp.
