It looks like Chelsea outcast Diego Costa has finally found a home.

According to reports, AC Milan have shown interest in the player and the club’s representatives have met Costa’s agent Jorge Mendes to negotiate a deal for the 28-year-old.

Costa has been totally abandoned by his current team ever since Antonio Conte has told him that the player no longer fits into Chelsea’s future plans. Costa revealed the news in a post match interview saying that Conte had told him to find a new club. And since then Costa has kept away from the Chelsea perimeter. The player was also given an extended break as a result of which he was not seen on the training ground and did not also travel with the team on their pre-season tour.

Costa has always said that it was his dream to go back to Atletico Madrid but with the current transfer embargo on Diego Simeone’s side Costa will have to wait up until January if he wishes to play for the Spanish club. But the Spanish International has openly showed his love and affection for Atletico after the player was seen wearing an Atleti shirt in a recent video.

With the Atletico move seemingly in knots, AC Milan are trying to cash into this situation by trying to sign up the player. But AC Milan’s chairman Marco Fassone has remained tight lipped about the whole situation.

When asked about the interest in Costa, Fassone said, “Diego Costa is a great player – but he is a Chelsea player and I would prefer to avoid talking about players from other teams.

“We went to see Jorge Mendes; there is a lot you can talk to him about. Costa is a great player but he is of Chelsea. That’s all.”
